A Simplified Chinese set that pulls its content from three English releases at once — Scarlet & Violet Base, Obsidian Flames and Paradox Rift — and reprints them with Chinese-market treatments. Charizard ex is the card everyone opens it for.
What’s in a pack
Five cards. Slim packs hold 5 and come 15 to a box; jumbo packs hold 20 and come 6 to a box. We sell the slim pack. Collectors returning from the Sword & Shield era should also know the jumbo pack dropped from 25 cards to 20 and no longer guarantees a minimum of an ex card.
The chase
Charizard ex is the marquee pull. Two cards debut here that exist only in Simplified Chinese: Defiance Band, elevated to Golden UR, and Larry as a new Special Art Rare.
Worth knowing
Printed in Simplified Chinese and manufactured in Japan. Because the set is drawn from three English expansions, card numbering will not line up with any single English set — check the set symbol rather than the number if you are matching a card you have seen elsewhere.
